About

Hello and welcome! I am Brianna Lovelace!

I am a Christ follower, wife to one very supportive husband, and mother to 4 amazing children. I spend the majority of my time chasing my children around while we homeschool, garden, hike and do life together. I enjoy studying the Bible, listening to audiobooks and learning more about birth!

The journey toward birthwork was nothing less than wild! Pregnant with my first child and 30-ish weeks along, I had just learned what a doula was. My husband and I thought it would be a good idea to have extra support for our planned hospital birth so we went ahead and hired her. We didn’t fully know how she could help us, but she surpassed all expectations! And in doing so, had sparked an interest that I wouldn’t be able to let go of.

I began slowly researching everything I could about pregnancy, birthwork and more. This led me down the path to freebirth and was the ultimate choice in birthing my second through fourth children. But after my second birth (and some major prompting from the Holy Spirit), I knew I didn’t want to just birth in my own power. I wanted to support women who wanted to do the same. Thus began my career as a doula. I knew the end goal was always midwifery but didn’t know how or when that would come into the picture.

After being a doula for four years (and more major prompting from the Holy Spirit!), it was time to begin my midwifery journey. My midwifery training was through Indie Birth Midwifery School in conjunction with an apprenticeship with Bridget Ballenger of BB Birth Services. My goal was to become a traditional, unlicensed midwife and I am excited to announce that this has now become a reality!

My services are dedicated to midwifery care but I also accept doula clients on a limited basis.
